President Barack Obama started an annual tradition of filling out an NCAA tournament bracket in 2009. That year, he correctly picked North Carolina to win the national championship, but failed to pick the winner in any of his seven following brackets. So, I decided to look at the past five years to see what year was his best and where he stands with his 2019 bracket.
So far this year, Obama has gotten 35 of the 52 games right. That makes his percentage 67.3%.
In 2018, Obama finished with 53.9%. He had 34 of the 63 games correct.
In 2017, Obama picked the correct National Champion, but still ended up with a 58.7% after he guessed 37 of the 63 games correctly.
In 2016, Obama finished with guessing 38 of the 63 games correctly, making his final percentage 60.3.
2015 was the best year for Obama. He guessed 41 of the 63 games correct, leaving him with 65.1%.
In 2014, Obama finished with 61.9% of his guesses correct. He had 39 of the 63 games in his favor.
Obama ‘s bracket for 2019 is still in good shape so maybe he’ll predict a correct champion like he did ten years ago.
